You can borrow items that are not available in the NCPL catalog. Items include books, audiobooks, music, and movies. eBooks and other electronic resources are not available through LINK+.

1. Search the NCPL catalog to see if the item you want is available locally.
2. If not, you can click  or go to https://linkencore.iii.com/ to perform your search in LINK+.
3. Once you’ve found the items you want, click the Request It button.
4. At the With which library are you affiliated? message, select National City Public Library from the dropdown menu. 
5. At the Request Verification screen, type in your Last Name and Library card number and select your Pickup Location. 
6. Click Submit to place your hold.
7. If a copy is available in LINK+ to fill your request, the item will be sent from the owning library to NCPL. If no copies are available to fill your request, you will receive a “Sorry, no copies available for requests” message.

• To manage your LINK+ requests, log in to your LINK+ account. We recommend that you bookmark this site for future use.

NCPL cardholders with a full privilege library card can use LINK+. Computer Access Cards/eCards will not work with LINK+. 

LINK+ is a free service to NCPL users, however, there is a late/replacement fee of up to $115 associated with Link+ materials that are not returned on time. Since Link+ items are not owned by NCPL, they are not included in the library's fine free policy.

Most LINK+ items circulate for 21 days and users may renew items one time for an additional 21 day as long as a hold has not been placed on that item. Select media items may have shorter loan and renewal periods.

LINK+ items may take 4-7 business days to arrive. Depending on where the item is coming from, transit times may be shorter or longer.

Picking up, checking out, and returning LINK+ items are handled at the Circulation Desk. Please do not return LINK+ items through the automated book return.
