The National City Fire Department conducts annual Fire and Life Safety Inspections of multi-family residential properties, including apartments, condominiums, and mobile home parks with three or more units, in accordance with California Health and Safety Code requirements. These inspections help ensure that residential buildings meet critical fire safety standards, protect occupants, and maintain compliance with state reporting mandates. Following a comprehensive fee study, inspection fees have been established based on the time required to perform inspections and process documentation, allowing the Department to expand its capacity and enhance fire safety throughout the community.  Here is the latest information regarding Residential Inspections.
