The National City Fire Department’s Business Self-Inspection Program helps business owners identify and correct common fire and life safety hazards before an official inspection. This proactive approach promotes safer workplaces and supports our community’s continued ISO Class 1 fire protection rating. Business owners can complete the Business Self-Inspection Form and return it to the Fire Department by mail or email. The checklist is designed to be simple and educational, covering topics such as exits, fire extinguishers, electrical safety, and housekeeping. To ensure accessibility for all, the form is available in English, Spanish, and Tagalog.
