LISTOS California is a free disaster preparedness program offered by the National City Fire Department that teaches practical skills to help individuals and families prepare for earthquakes, floods, severe weather, power outages, and other emergencies.

The word "Listos" means "Ready," and that's exactly what this program is designed to help you become.

What is LISTOS?

LISTOS is a hands-on community preparedness course that helps residents build confidence before disasters occur.

Participants learn simple, practical skills that can reduce the impacts of emergencies and make their families more resilient.

No previous emergency preparedness experience is required.

What You'll Learn

During this interactive course, participants learn how to:

• Prepare your family before an emergency
• Develop a family emergency plan
• Build an emergency supply kit
• Know what to do before, during, and after a disaster
