Genasys PROTECT

Genasys PROTECT provides interactive, location-based emergency information to help you understand what is happening and what actions you should take.

Features include:

• Real-time emergency updates
• Evacuation zones and maps
• Road closures
• Shelter and temporary evacuation point locations
• Safe return (repopulation) notifications
• Location-based alerts for your current location or saved addresses

AlertSanDiego is San Diego County's official emergency notification system.

Register your:

• Cell phone
• Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone
• Email address

to receive emergency notifications and important public safety instructions.

Landline telephones are automatically included and do not require registration.

Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA)

Wireless Emergency Alerts are automatically sent to compatible cell phones within an affected area.

No registration is required.

Accessible Emergency Notifications

AlertSanDiego offers accessible emergency notifications for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or deafblind.  Messages are available in multiple accessible formats, including American Sign Language (ASL), helping ensure emergency information is available to all members of our community.
