Become an independent contract instructor with the city and share your talents, specific skills or trainings with our community.

In order to begin the process of becoming a contract instructor, the following forms must be completed and returned to Community Services Department- communityservices@nationalcityca.gov

• Contract Instructor Guide
• Instructor Application
• Program Proposal
• Resume and/or Certifications

You will be notified within 3-4 weeks of submittal whether your proposal has been selected to move on to the review process, which will require you to complete the following:

• Interview Appraisal
• Reference check (minimum of 3)
• Background Check and Fingerprinting

If your application is approved after the review process, the following documents must be processed before the start of the class:

• Contract Instructor Agreement
• Insurance
• Obtain a business license with the city
• W-9
