The National City Host Lions Club's 80th Annual 4th of July Carnival returns to Kimball Park from July 1–5, 2026, bringing five days of family-friendly fun, entertainment, delicious food, thrilling rides, and community celebration.

This year's carnival is especially significant as it coincides with America's 250th anniversary, making it a memorable opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and celebrate our nation's history and the strong community spirit that makes National City special.

Guests can enjoy a variety of carnival attractions, including rides, games, live entertainment, face painting, and an impressive lineup of food vendors. Featured vendors include Zeze's Cuisine, Pi Food, Kujo's Eats, Mr. Joey's Tacos, Turo Churros & Donuts, The Sweet Spot, along with carnival favorites such as nachos, kettle corn, sweet treats, and more.

The carnival will be open:

• Wednesday, July 1 – Friday, July 3: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Saturday, July 4 & Sunday, July 5: 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Admission is free, and $40 ride wristbands will be available for purchase onsite.

The celebration culminates with a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show on Saturday, July 4, at 9 p.m.
