The City of National City is working diligently to provide updates and address service requests as efficiently as possible.

 On February 18, representatives from the City’s Engineering & Public Works Department, City Manager’s Office, and Mayor’s Office met with SDG&E to review ongoing streetlight upgrades and outages across National City.

“We had a productive meeting with SDG&E following the recent negative media coverage. Our staff has been working closely with SDG&E to upgrade streetlights throughout National City, and that work is ongoing. While not every street has been completed yet, improvements are being made based on a prioritized, citywide plan developed jointly by our teams. We will continue moving forward with that established list to ensure equitable improvements across all districts. I’m proud of the work our staff is doing and the strong partnership we have with SDG&E,” said Mayor Ron Morrison.
