Did you know the National City Library rents power tools for free? Anyone with a library card can borrow from our collection of more than 200 tools — including hand tools, electric and battery-powered tools, plus gardening, automotive, bike, and crafting equipment.
A recent KPBS article spotlighted our U-Tool-Ize Program, the first of its kind in the county! Thanks to our eResources and Systems Librarian, Alex Neu, the library secured a grant to make this innovative program possible.
