What is the Summer Reading Program
The National City Public Library 2026 Summer Reading Program invites you to our annual Summer Reading Program at the library. When you sign up for the event you can read and win prizes! This event is open to all ages from toddlers to teens and adults. After you register please visit the children's or reference desk to pick up your registration prizes. There will also be special events for all ages throughout June and July.
Toddlers
Parents can read to their children to qualify for the prizes. For every 5 books that are read to a child, you qualify for a prize.
Children & Teens
For kids and teens 6-17, for every 5 hours you read, you qualify for a prize.
Adults
Adults earn prizes for books that they read during the program. Prizes are given out for registering and completing and a raffle ticket to our grand prize drawing will be given out after 6 books read. At the end of the SRP we will reach out to the winners based on the information you provide us when you register.
