Welcome to the homepage of the City’s Fire Department. Our administrative office is located at 1243 National City Blvd.
We are a fire department providing fire control, emergency medical service, rescue, fire prevention and education.
We are dedicated to safeguarding the history and traditions and to effecting the goals of the department.
We are devoted to serving the community while practicing the core values of commitment, courtesy, collaboration, communication, customer service.
These services add to the security and economic well being of the community by reducing the probability of a large-scale fire or other threat.
The National City Fire Department prevents destructive fires from starting through public education and code enforcement activities. For those fires that do occur, the National City Fire Department provides early confinement and extinguishment while minimizing the risk of further property damage, injury, and death. In addition, the National City Fire Department provides immediate rescue and medical aid to citizens who become victims of sudden illness and/or accidents.

The National City Fire Department serves an area of approximately nine (9) square miles and 63,000 residents, while also providing fire and rescue services to the Lower Sweetwater Fire Protection District.
