About the Public Art Committee

The Public Art Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in matters of policy and selection of public art installed anywhere in the City.  The committee submits recommendations to Council on relative subjects which the Public Art Committee deems important.

Public meetings of the Public Art Committee are held at 3:00 on the 4th Tuesday of January, April, July and October in the Large Conference Room at National City Civic Center, 1243 National City Boulevard, National City.  For additional information, please contact the Community Services Department at (619) 336-4250.


The five members of the Public Art Committee are appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, to serve two-year terms.   The Board is comprised of the following members:
